Custom Home Exterior Tour
Hey, it’s Brian Freeman here. We are on a custom home project right now in Ramona, California. We’ve taken you through this project several times, but now we’re about a month away from being done. There’s been a lot of progress over the last couple of weeks, and I wanted to show you around the custom home exterior so you can see what’s going on.
Front of the Custom Home
We are in the front of the house, and you can see the entryway. The sun is going down in the background, so you can see that in the windows.
Meanwhile, the garage doors have gone on, and they look nice. This metal door has been made to look like wood and has some nice lights. It’s a clean look.
RV Bay
And then you can see the RV bay we looked at many times. They have an excellent door here. They also have the lights up higher on the board batten siding.
Fascia
So they painted the fascia black, and the stain has gone up top on all the exposed wood. As for the blocks, they will help us mount the light securely. When you have board and batten siding, you’ll put these on so the lights sit up against them.
Porch
So much of this wasn’t stained the last time we showed you here on the entry. You can see all the staining now that’s happened on the posts, which are made out of 8×8 resawn material. We also have the open beam and the 2×6 tongue and groove — up top with your rafters. It looks like this when it’s all finished out and stained. You get nice tight joints on all of those beams and rafters.

Front Door
We also have this front door entry system that they’re still finishing. They still have a little trim to do and paint it.
Backyard
So, the grader came in, which we showed in a previous video about backfilling the basement and grading the property. The area has been graded out nicely. You can also see the driveway out here feathered in really well. It will get concrete and asphalt out to the road.
Back of the Custom Home
You can see where they painted the fascia black at the back of the house. Then it transfers over to the stain-grade porch that we looked at before. This one was stained the last time we looked at it. We also have a lot of material and work going on in the back, so it’s a bit messier here.
Other Inclusions
The solar panels are up on the roof, and this porch sticks out 10 feet off the side of the house. And there’s that alternative septic system we looked at several times.
