Brandon Freeman Gives a Project Update On A Whole House Remodel

Hi everyone. This is Brandon with Freemans Construction. I’m here in Ramona at a home we began remodeling last week. All the demolition is complete, and I want to walk through and give an update on what’s happening on our project. We’re not making any significant structural changes to this home. Most renovations will be aesthetic changes as well as a few changes to the floor plan, so that spaces are a little more functional.

Currently I’m in the master bathroom and our crew completely gutted this room so we can redo everything. Over here is a Jack and Jill bath that’s getting redone. We’re replacing the countertop and mirrors here. We plan to tile this tub shower. Previously it had a kind of a precast enclosure in it. Heading back into the hallway, we plan to do some framing, rough plumbing, and electrical as well. This area is where that large slider goes. This is kind of the biggest structural change to the building. We are going to install a large header, which we picked up today, that will span the opening there.

I talked about this archway in the demo video, we plan to widen it to match the entry archway. This should give this room a much larger and open feel. The kitchen is getting new countertops. We’ll be installing new flooring throughout the entire home. We plan to install some new cabinets here and the fireplace is going to be raised up 18 inches, which will get a new face. There’s a lot of progress coming soon and I’ll. Thanks a lot for watching.
